CE Henin Beaumont: France |
Why this sport? |
"I fell in love with the sport thanks to my first master at arms, Fabrice Van Hems. The CE Henin-Beaumont club made me who I am today. At my first big junior international competition, in Germany, I got a taste for elite competition. That day I said to myself, 'One day I hope to become an Olympic champion'." |
When and where did you begin this sport? |
He began fencing in 1991 after watching the sport on television. His mother then enrolled him at a club in Henin-Beaumont, France, where the instructor made him take up foil. |
