RETIREMENT THOUGHTS After failing to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he contemplated retiring from fencing. However, following conversations with his friends and coaches he decided that the work he had put in and the hunger he still had for the sport was too great to stop competing. He contemplated retirement again in 2016, but decided to continue. (seppevanholsbeke.be, 13 May 2012; sport.be, 12 Nov 2017) |
