During her round of 16 bout against Poland's Aleksandra Socha at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the two athletes collided masks leading to Vougiouka breaking two of her front teeth. After winning the match, she had to compete in her quarterfinal against Korean fencer Kim Ji-Yeon just 20 minutes later. AMBASSADOR She was named an athlete ambassador ahead of the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. "Fencing is a popular European sport, so as a fencer it is a great honour to have been invited to promote the first European Games.
