As a teenager, her family moved to Davis, CA, United States of America, because of her father's job. Walking through the city one day, she found a fencing club by chance and decided she would like to try it. She also played football, and at age 16 she had to decide between the two sports. She chose fencing because she had been getting good results in youth competitions. |
