Sport Specific Information |
When and where did you begin this sport? |
She began fencing at age six at the Aulnay Sous-Bois club in France. |
Why this sport? |
"My first day at the Aulnay-Sous-Bois club, I arrived for the lesson in a skirt and little red shoes. I put the fencing gear on the top half of my body, with my skirt and shoes showing it must have looked quite funny. But they put me 'en garde' and I loved it right away. I love the ritual, calling the teacher 'Maitre', the respect for the opponent." |
