Why this sport? |
"My father was also a sabre fencer. One day I saw his trophies and as a challenge I told him, 'I will win more than you'. I was doing artistic gymnastics at the time and I wanted to change sports, but mother did not want me to. I was too young but then I tried again and at age six I took it up. From the beginning I always enjoyed fencing." |

Sporting philosophy / motto |
"Fencing is like a school of life. From childhood, it teaches you respect, it teaches you the rules. The first thing you do in fencing is greet the coach, and especially when you finish a bout, whether you win or lose, you still acknowledge your opponent. This is a very important lesson to learn."
